International business woman
Glenda Stone is an international business woman having successfully run her own HR services company for almost two decades. One day her heart plummeted as she got the shock of her life when, in London at the Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, she was told “You better sit down. We have some news to discuss regarding your son’s results.” A routine check-up led to open heart surgery on her young – but very brave – son, performed at Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Hospital for children. The family’s journey provides an interesting and insightful case study regarding the anxious path that young patients and their families travel, the ups and downs of hospital relations, observations of processes and personalities – and importantly the faith placed in others.
